We found out today that we’ll be screening a super-advance (as in, not even complete) movie tomorrow – Disney / Pixar’s Inside Out! As we were leaving Magic Kingdom, Anna was definitely exhibiting some anger and frustration, so we decided to make the best of it and act out all of the emotions represented in the movie. It was better than all of smiling with her looking all grumpy!
Acting out the emotions totally turned Anna’s mood around. She seemed to realize how ridiculous it was to act so upset IN DISNEY WORLD. But once that girl gets started down an emotional path, it can be very challenging to get her back on track. She likes to say, “I can’t just push a button and change how I feel!” So I’m glad it worked. We can’t wait to see this movie, because I think it may help all of us navigate what Anna herself described as the “roller coaster” of emotions she is experiencing these days.
Inside Out opens in theaters on June 19, 2015.
Disclosure: We got to see an advance portion of Disney Pixar’s Inside Out as part of the Disney Social Media Moms Celebration. While we paid a fee to attend, it in no way covered the extremely generous accommodations, experiences, gifts and magic we received. We were not asked to write about any aspect of the celebration. While we are incredibly grateful for this experience, all opinions expressed in this blog are independent and completely our own.
