Macy’s Wish Writer empowers letters to Santa

We received a Wish Writer from Macy’s to try, and my kids have gone crazy for it. With the special stylus, you can unlock special features of the Wish Writer app. The app is free on it’s own (search “Wish Writer” in your app store), but with the Wish Writer, you can unlock different levels, assign fun holiday-themed profiles to different players, and write letters to Santa.

The Wish Writer itself is a festive red stylus, with stars that glow when you use it. I’m a fan of pretty packaging!

My kids were mostly interested in playing the games and collecting all the badges, but they also had fun making creative letters and sending them off to the North Pole.

The log-in screen lets you assign profiles to different players.

One of the options in the app is to make a holiday postcard for friends, that you can decorate with fun effects.

Help the town get ready for the holidays in Macy's Wish Writer app

Players help this town get ready for the holidays by completing different tasks and earning badges. My kids are obsessed.

The kids were so excited about this app, I had a hard time even getting pictures – they were all crowding around, vying for turns.

Macy’s has a sweet video about the Wish Writer:

Just when a young girl is finding it hard to believe in the spirit of the holidays, she and her brother discover a pen with magical wish-granting powers. Watch as they spread the magic of giving and generosity throughout town — one wish at a time.

The Wish Writer stylus is $14.99, and is available in-stores or at http://www.macys.com/believe.

Macy’s will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish® for every letter received, up to one million dollars – so you can have a fun holiday activity with the kids, and know it’s helping other kids.

For more holiday fun, follow Macy’s holiday magic on Twitter @Macys and on Facebook.
