Star Wars: The Force Awakens Opens December 18

The hype is growing for the latest installment in the Star Wars franchise. So many of us grew up with these movies, the obsessive/rabid excitement is understandable!

Eric went through a Star Wars obsession when he was 6. I think he was introduced to the concept by Angry Birds Star Wars and LEGOS. We even did our family costume that year as characters from Star Wars:

The Swan/Litwins, dba The Skywalkers

This was before he had ever seen any of the movies, mind you. We worried if Star Wars would be too intense for a 6-year-old, so Brian did a really smart thing. He started showing him little clips from the old movies, just a few at a time, so he could get to know all the characters and have a pretty good idea of the plot lines. That way, when he finally saw the whole movies, it wasn’t as intense for him. I highly recommend that strategy for introducing little kids to Star Wars to ease them in to it!
